After all the organizational stress and packing your whole life into a bunch of boxes; after a busy moving day in Dallas and after your movers have finished packing – now is the time to thank your movers. The proper way to thank them would be to tip them but what would be enough? It’s awkward if you don’t know how much is okay, and how about if you’re not satisfied with the service?

Tipping is always up to you, and if you are very happy with the movers, it’s a great way to say you appreciate what they’ve done. How high of a tip would be enough for your movers? What if you’re not happy with the job done? Here are some pieces of advice on how to tip your moving team.

When to Tip the Moving Team

If you had the pleasure to hire the team of movers who showed up on time and did a great job, the only right thing would be to tip them. Also, if the team, e.g., had harder access to the stairs, or had to manage through narrow halls, they also deserve praise for their effort. Undamaged goods, job done on time, or even before the said time, are indicators that the relocation team needs to be tipped.

When Not to Tip the Movers

Any indecent behavior or failing to complete the said tasks should not be rewarded. If the movers didn’t show up on time, acted unprofessionally or even rude; if you wound up with damaged goods – these are the reasons good enough not to offer a tip. If you wound up with damaged (or even lost) items, instead of the tip, you should complain about it.

How Much?

It would only be fair to tip all the team members equally. As for the amount of the tip, the most common is 5 to 10 percent of the moving cost.We hope the Dallas moving team you find will do an amazing job you wish to reward. Even though movers generally don’t expect a tip, there are always ways to say thanks to diligent and nice people who made your transition that much more enjoyable.
